Meditation Program

Meditation  & Mindful Movement 

INTROSPECTION & BEYOND

 

This meditation program includes an introduction to meditation practices and participants will explore a different type of guided meditation each week. Meditation helps to relax your mind, increase your ability to concentrate and decrease stress. Life moves so quickly and even taking just a few moments each day to focus on an intentional meditation practice, you will find that you are able to experience a more peaceful state of being in your everyday life. This program is for beginners who are interested in learning the principles of meditation and for those looking to deepen their practice.

This program is a special 5 week series that is offered in the spring and fall or privately.  

FINDING INNER PEACE

Calm your mind, settle your body and find a softer focus to your day. These classes include gentle, mindful movement and breathing practices that support your meditation practice. You will explore guided meditations from many traditions which may include: Mantra meditation, guided imagery, mindfulness etc... Meditation can be done in a chair or on a yoga mat. Leave feeling centered, restored, and balanced within the body, mind, and spirit. These classes offer a safe and nourishing space to experience the benefits of meditation, whether you are a beginner or are looking to deepen your practice.

Meditation & Mindfulness Training  - Finding Bliss Within

Do you wish to deepen your meditation practice or simply to learn how to meditate? You may take this training for your personal growth or enroll in the Meditation & Mindfulness Teacher Training to become a certified meditation teacher. Through lecture, Svadhyaya and experience, students will learn and explore the following to enrich their personal meditation practice: History & Philosophy, Benefits of Meditation, Creating Your Sacred Space, Practice preparation and 7-point meditation seat, Types of Meditation - Mindfulness, Sound/Mantra (Japa/use of malas), Concentration, Contemplation/Reflection, Movement, Body Scans, Yoga Nidra and more. This training is 15 weekly sessions offered via Zoom.

Meditation & Mindfulness Teacher Training - Finding Bliss Within...

This course is tailored to each individual, as meditation is such a personal experience and how and what you wish to share with others is unique to you. Through lecture, Svadhyaya and experience, students will learn the following to enrich their personal meditation practice and become certified to share the gift of meditation with others: History & Philosophy - Vedas, Upanishads, Buddhism, Samkhya, Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras & Tantra Types of Meditation - Mindfulness, Sound/Mantra (Japa/use of malas), Concentration, Contemplation/Reflection, Movement, Body Scans, Yoga Nidra and more Benefits of Meditation, Anatomy & Physiology – Lungs, Heart, Brain, Nervous Systems & Respiratory System Parts of the mind, Kleshas & Hinderances Creating Your Sacred Space, Practice preparation and 7-point meditation seat, Subtle Body - Chakras, Nadis, Koshas and Mudras, Pranayama (breath-work) Teaching (qualities of & tools for the teacher, meditation scripts), Teaching for groups and privately, Business, Seva, Ethics and Holding space After completion of this training, you will have the knowledge to share the gift of meditation with others. This training is offered via Zoom for 25 weeks. CE eligible with Yoga Alliance.
